Whether you are a seasoned health fanatic or are just starting out on your health journey, you have probably heard of NutriBullet blenders.

That is because they are a stalwart of healthy living.  You will likely find a NutriBullet product in the kitchen of every health-focused person you know, but is it all hype, or are these products the place to start a healthy lifestyle?

While the world of healthy eating, and all the products that come with that, can be overwhelming, we have put together a handy comparison, review, and buyer’s guide with everything you need to know about the 5 best NutriBullet products.

So, whether you want to become a super smoothie maker for your family, or you want to be an on-the-go health hero, we have the NutriBullet blender for you.

Who Is NutriBullet?

Regardless of whether you eat your 5 portions of fruit and vegetables religiously, or you’re lucky if you get a piece of fruit in your diet monthly, you will probably have heard of the NutriBullet brand.

Since its launch in 2012, NutriBullet has become somewhat of a cult favorite in the health and fitness world.  This is due in part to the design of most of the range.

Rather than having a ton of pieces and attachments that are fiddly to clean after use, the NutriBullet has a streamlined, simple design that makes cleaning super easy.

Being able to blend your smoothie in the morning in the bullet-shaped container, then simply swap the blade for a lid and go on your way was a revelation for fitness enthusiasts around the world, and we are yet to fall out of love with them.

While there are now a plethora of similar blenders on the market, none seem to grab our attention quite as the NutriBullet family does.

As the NutriBullet family of blenders has grown over the years, there is now a blender to suit every blending need, but which one is the best for you?

Continue reading our comparison reviews, and handy buyer’s guide to help you decide.

#1 NutriBullet GO Portable Blender

The first member of the NutriBullet family that we are going to look at is the NutriBullet GO portable blender.  This is the newest member of the family on this list and the smallest with a cup size of only 13oz.

The NutriBullet GO has the lowest wattage of all of the blenders at only 70W.  The low wattage of this blender is due to the fact that it is battery powered because it is portable.

If NutriBullet increased the wattage, they would need to increase the battery size which would make it bulky and defeat the purpose of it being portable.

This low wattage also means that it mixes more than it blends.  If you want to make smoothies with substantial ingredients such as bananas and avocado, this isn’t going to be the best option for you.

However, if you want to blend soft fruits such as berries into your favorite milk or milk substitute, or you just want to mix your protein shake on the go, the NutriBullet GO is a great choice for you.

The NutriBullet GO comes with an on-the-go lid for the 13oz container as well as a blade cover for safer transportation, a USB charger, recipe book and user manual, and the motor base.

NutriBullet claims that the GO can perform up to 20 blending cycles on a single charge, although this will vary depending on what you are trying to blend and how long you blend your smoothie or shake for.

  • Portable, great if you are on the go
  • Can complete multiple blends on a single charge
  • Convenient for nutrition post midday workout
  • Great for traveling

  • Small blender cup
  • Low wattage

#2 NutriBullet RX Personal Blender

The NutriBullet RX personal blender is the biggest and most powerful blender on this list.

If you are looking for a blender that allows you to make smoothies for your entire family with maximum nutrient extraction, this is the NutriBullet for you.

Featuring a massive 45oz blender cup, as well as a 34oz soup pitcher, and a pitcher lid for the cup you will have no problem sharing your blends with your family.

The NutriBullet RX boasts a 1700W motor base, perfect for blending even the toughest of ingredients.

Simply fill the cup with your smoothie ingredients and put the lid on securely, place the cup on the base and watch as it automatically starts and stops blending.

This is also the only blender in the NutriBullet range that can effectively puree and heat soups and sauces.

The powerful motor, combined with the large blades creates the right amount of friction to blend your soup and keep it hot, great for easy midweek family meals packed with nutrients.

Make sure that you use the vented cap when blending warm or hot products to avoid pressure build-up.  NutriBullet also states that it is important to add liquid to any of your blends to ensure that the blender can perform properly.

The NutriBullet RX is super easy to clean like most of the NutriBullet range.  Simply place the lids, cups, and pitcher in the top rack of your dishwasher and wash the blade with soap and water.

Users report that the blade and housing require a more detailed clean, including under the rubber ring if removable, to avoid a build-up of blend residue and mold.

The NutriBullet RX does come with a blade cleaning brush which should help in keeping the base clean and ready to use.

  • Large capacity blender
  • Hot soup puree capabilities
  • Pitcher-style jugs for easy serving
  • Easy to clean

  • Rubber in blade housing may harbor mold if not cleaned properly
  • Requires a lot of liquid to work effectively

#3 NutriBullet NBR-1201

The  NutriBulletNBR-1201 is without a doubt the best value for money on the market.

Featuring the standard 600W motor that many of the basic NutriBullet blenders have, this blender features an amazing 12 pieces when purchased.

These include the motor base, 2 types of blade, 1 tall cup, 2 short cups, 1 handled lip ring, 1 regular lip ring, 2 stay-fresh lids, 1 user manual and recipe book, and 1 pocket nutritionist.

That’s a lot of bang for your buck and makes this a great starter option if you are new to making your own smoothies.

Not only does this NutriBullet come with all the attachments and accessories you need to make delicious smoothies, but it also packs a punch when blending.

Provided that there is enough liquid with your ingredients, the NutriBullet NBR-1201 can burst open seeds, shred through fruit and vegetable skin, and crack stems, all of which allow it to unlock all the nutrients in your smoothie.

This also makes the NBR-1201 great for nutritional value, as we all know, most nutrients are contained within the skins and seeds of fruit and vegetables.

Featuring the signature push-down and twist activation system, this is a great blender to get kids involved in healthy eating.

However, it is worth noting that this activation system is not ideal for individuals with motility issues in their wrists or strength issues.

If you are likely to struggle with the push-down and twist system, the NutriBullet RX is a better option due to its automatic start-stop feature.

  • Powerful motor to blend tough ingredients
  • The 12-piece set is a great starter set
  • Easy to clean
  • Classic NutriBullet design

  • Push and twist design is not accessible to everyone

#4 NutriBullet 600 Series

The NutriBullet 600 Series is very similar to the NutriBullet NBR-1201 in both design and function.

The 600 Series features the same 600W motor inside an aluminum base rather than a polycarbonate base.

This NutriBullet is part of an 8-piece set which is great for those just testing the waters of a healthier lifestyle.

Rather than filling your kitchen cupboards with various cups and blades that you might end up not using, the NutriBullet 600 Series comes with a cyclone extractor blade, an 18oz cup, and a 24 oz cup with comfort lip rings.

You will also get a pocket nutritionist booklet and a user manual with recipes.  The only thing that this basic starter kit is missing is a stay-fresh lid to allow for transportation or storage of your blended smoothie.

However, one of the best things about a well-known, trusted brand such as NutriBullet is that spares and replacements are readily available to purchase online.

If you are unsure whether you will use the blender regularly, this is a great starter product with the option to purchase extra blades, cups, and lids separately.

As with the NutriBullet NBR-1201, the 600 Series is unlikely to be able to blend large pieces of frozen fruit to a smooth consistency without blending for an extended period of time.

However, if you add adequate liquid and ensure that your frozen or tough ingredients are in small pieces, it should have no problem blending them.

The NutriBullet 600 series features a self-run mode meaning that you can start it blending and leave it to do its thing while you prepare other things for the height of convenience.

However, some users report issues with the NutriBullet leaking in this mode, so ensure that you have screwed the blade on tightly, and check it periodically if you are running it for a long time.

  • Compact, classic NutriBullet design
  • Small starter kit for beginners
  • Easy to clean
  • Self-run mode

  • Is prone to leaking

#5 NutriBullet Pro

The final product on our list is the NutriBullet Pro.  If you are a longtime health fanatic with an active lifestyle and healthy diet focused on complete nutrition, this is the  NutriBullet product for you.

Featuring 13 pieces and an incredible 900W motor, this blender can handle even your most elaborate smoothie recipes.

The 13-piece set makes this great for converts to NutriBullet products and provides a hardback recipe book, 2 32oz cups, on-the-go lids, and lip rings, as well as a stainless steel extractor blade.

The NutriBullet Pro is capable of pulverizing even the densest whole foods and hard fruits, allowing you to make smoothies that contain complete nutritional profiles knowing that the NutriBullet has extracted the most out of your ingredients.

The NutriBullet Pro is faster and more powerful than the other personal blenders in the range.

With a motor turning at 25,000 RPM, even the toughest of nuts and seeds will be blended into your ideal smoothie.

Featuring the push and twist design that NutriBullet is known for, this blender can help you on your way to better nutrition with ease.

When you are done with your smoothie, simply put the cups and lids in the top rack of your dishwasher and hand wash the blade housing with soap and water and you’re good to go again.

Due to the power of this blender, the base can move around on your countertop a little while in use.

The speed of the blade can also cause the base to become loose during blending, so it is important to keep an eye on your smoothie while you blend.

  • Powerful motor blends tough ingredients well
  • Large volume cups allow for high-density ingredients
  • The 13-piece set provides all the attachments you need
  • Easy to clean

  • Prone to leaking
  • Moves around during use

Buyer’s Guide

5 Best Nutribullet Blenders Comparison, Reviews & Buying Guides

There are many things to consider when working out which NutriBullet blender is going to be right for your lifestyle and your goals.

Here is our handy buyer’s guide to help you know what to look for and which blender is right for you.

Why Choose A NutriBullet blender?

There are many different types of blenders available on the market and it can become overwhelming quite quickly.

Where NutriBullet has an edge over other blender brands is its somewhat unique design.

While there are many blenders that have adopted the bullet style, the NutriBullet is the original.

The NutriBullet is not only sleek to look at in your kitchen, but it also takes a product that traditionally is very difficult and fiddly to clean after use and makes it simple.

You can either place the cups and lids in the dishwasher and wash the blades with soap and water, or you can put a small amount of soap and water inside your used cup, reattach the blade and pulse the blender a few times.

This will clean your NutriBullet attachments just as well and means that they are ready for use again immediately.

Another reason to purchase a NutriBullet blender over a different type of bullet blender is the brand name.

Not as a flex or a brag, but choosing a trusted, proven brand provides you with a quality product that has spares and replacement pieces readily available.

NutriBullet Vs A Food Processor

While the NutriBullet features a similar blade to a food processor, it doesn’t have quite the same capabilities.

Most significantly, a NutriBullet does not have the capacity of a traditional food processor, and pulsing is a lot more difficult to do with a NutriBullet.

If you are looking for a more versatile appliance for your kitchen, a food processor may be a better choice.

However, if your main focus is smoothies or protein shakes, the NutriBullet is custom-made for that purpose.

NutriBullet Vs A Juicer?

The NutriBullet is not a juicer and does not have the ability to make juices.  If you are mainly interested in making your own juices, you would be better off purchasing a purpose-built juicer.

However, if nutrient content is your main goal in making smoothies and juices, a NutriBullet is better for that.

The NutriBullet is designed to extract as many nutrients as possible from your ingredients which are mostly present in the skin and pulp of fruit which juicing removes.

What A NutriBullet Can Make?

NutriBullet Personal blenders and the NutriBullet Go portable blender are capable of making smoothies containing fruit, vegetables, and nuts, as well as mixing protein shakes.

The NutriBullet RX is capable of making warm soups and sauces too.

How A NutriBullet Maintains Nutritional Value?

The NutriBullet is different from traditional blenders and juicers which either remove the nutrient-dense pulp or leave chunks of food for our bodies to break down.

Within a  NutriBullet blender, all of the food gets broken down or liquified, creating a juice-like consistency while maintaining the nutrient profile of the whole fruits and vegetables.

With the ingredients fully liquified, our bodies can focus on absorbing the nutrients without having to break the food down.

Final Thoughts

All of the products in the NutriBullet range offer the trademark nutrition extraction to help you get the most out of your smoothies and shakes.

Which appliance you choose to purchase depends on your lifestyle and your needs.  The range is vast and covers everyone from total newbies to experienced smoothie masters.

Whichever NutriBullet product you invest in will provide high-quality performance with ease of use.
