We have compared two of the most popular blenders in 2022 so that you have a comprehensive guide to all of their functions and potential uses, and can make an informed decision about which one is best for your needs.
The Origins Of The NutriBullet
NutriBullet has been around since 2012, making it one of the oldest blenders on the market today. It was originally designed as a blender replacement for people who were unable to use a traditional blender due to medical conditions or physical limitations.
The product was developed by Dr. Steven Pratt, a chiropractor from California, and his wife, Kathy. They wanted a way to help patients with limited mobility get fresh fruit juices and smoothies. With its unique design, NutriBullet was able to achieve this goal.
The Origins Of The Magic Bullet
Magic Bullet was first introduced in 2004 and quickly became a household name. It was created by Dave Asprey, a former engineer at Apple Computer.
He had always struggled with getting healthy food into his body because he found it difficult to chew and swallow certain foods. After leaving Apple, he decided to create a blender that would allow him to consume more nutritious foods. This led to the creation of the Magic Bullet.
The Structure Of The NutriBullet
The NutriBullet is made up of three parts: the base unit, the container, and the lid. The base unit contains the motor, gears, and other internal components. The container holds the ingredients. Finally, the lid seals the entire unit together.
The NutriBullet’s container is removable, allowing users to easily clean the machine after each use. In addition to these basic components, there are also accessories available for the NutriBullet.
These include a variety of different blades, straws, and containers. All of these accessories are compatible with both models of the NutriBullets.
The Structure Of The Magic Bullet
The Magic Bullet features three different blades that are made of stainless steel and ceramic. These blades are specifically designed to chop fruits and vegetables without producing any heat. In addition, they are dishwasher safe and come apart easily for cleaning purposes.
The motor used in the Magic Bullet is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. This allows the user to blend multiple batches of juice or smoothie before needing to charge the device again.
The Magic Bullet comes with a built-in water filter that removes impurities from tap water. This makes it easy to prepare healthy drinks using filtered water.
A Few Structural Similarities…
Both the NutriBullet and the Magic Bullet feature a digital display screen that shows users how much time remains until the blender stops working. This helps users know when to stop blending their drinks and remove them from the machine.
The NutriBullets also offer a timer function that lets users set the length of time they want their drink to be blended. There are no timers included with the Magic Bullets.
The NutriBullet can hold up to 1 liter (34 fl oz) while the Magic Bullet can only hold 0.5 liters (17 fl oz). However, both machines have the ability to mix liquids and powders.
Both the NutriBullet (left) and Magic Bullet (right) have a digital display screen that tells users how much time remains before the blender shuts off.
Despite these similarities, though, in terms of overall structure, the two products differ greatly. While the NutriBullet has a simple design, the Magic Bullet offers many additional features – but can hold a far lower volume.
Both devices are great options if you’re looking for a blender that will help you get your daily dose of vitamins and nutrients.
The NutriBullet offers a few extra benefits, such as its ability to make nut milks and juices. The Magic Bullet does not have this functionality. However, it does provide an easier way to prepare fruit and vegetable blends.
If you’re looking for something that will give you more versatility, then the NutriBullet might be the right choice for you.
On the other hand, if you’re looking for something simpler (for someone a little older, and who gets confused with too many unnecessary options), then the Magic Bullet may be the better option.
Notable Features Of The Magic Bullet

The original Magic Bullet blender is a budget friendly, counter top space friendly little blender that packs a punch. Magic Bullet is a brand name for a blender, which has been marketed as an all-in-one food processor, juicer, grinder, and mixer.
It is part of an 11-Piece set, which can be used for all kinds of kitchen uses – blending, chopping, grinding, mashing, whipping, mixing. There are a number of notable features that the Magic Bullet has, such as:

- Variable speed control – The user can adjust the speed from low (for blending) to high (for crushing).
- Safety lock lid / safety switch – The lid locks into place when the motor stops running, meaning that there can be no accidents where your smoothie does all over your kitchen counter (we’ve all been there!).

Things To Consider When Comparing The NutriBullet And Magic Bullet Blenders
Buying anything is never easy, and there are always multiple factors to consider when making a purchase. This is no different when buying a blender, even when you have narrowed the choice down to only two options.
Here are five of the factors that we believe will make or break your blender based decision. These factors are:
1. The Price
The price of any product is important, but especially when you’re talking about something that you’ll be using every day.
If you’re looking for a high quality blender, then you should expect to pay a fair amount of money – and both Magic Bullet and NutriBullet have more pricey models that have a larger range of functions.
Both also have more basic designs that cost less – but overall, if you are after a blender that is budget friendly, we suggest that you opt for the Magic Bullet, which is more cost-efficient than its competitor.
2. The Design
When choosing between the NutriBullet and Magic Bullet, the design factor is going to play a big role in how much you enjoy using your new blender – which is predominantly determined by its design.
Both blenders are great products, but some people prefer the look of one over the other – and if you like the way that your new blender looks, you’re more likely to keep it on the counter, and use it more. We think that the NutriBullet has a sleeker and cleaner design.
However, the Magic Bullet does offer a wider variety of colors, which gives it an edge over the NutriBullet, as well as being a little smaller, so it is more compact on your countertop.
3. The Power
Both blenders offer similar power levels, although the NutriBullet offers a slightly higher power output. This means that you can get more juice out of your food, and create smoother blends.
It’s worth noting that both blenders offer a wide range of power settings, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding a setting that works best for you.
If you are after a really powerful blender, you should go for the NutriBullet RX blender, which has a 1700 watt motor in the blender base.
You might want a blender this powerful if you are processing quite tough foods that need to be made very smooth, such as when you are making food for babies, or processing nut butters.
So, how powerful a blender you will need will depend on the things that you are planning on processing with it.
As a rule of thumb, soft foods, like ripe fruit and protein powder, don’t need tonnes of power behind them (and a blender that is excessively powerful for your needs may even be a bad thing – gobbling up electricity and increasing your household bills).
Blending up harder, thicker foods does require a bit of extra wattage, though.
4. Capacity
This is another key factor that will determine whether you choose the NutriBullet or Magic Bullet. Both blenders come with capacities ranging from 12 fl oz to 45 lf oz.
So, if you are blending small quantities of ingredients, you can easily find a model that suits your needs. But if you are planning on making large batches of food, you will probably need a bigger capacity.
A good example would be if you were making a batch of homemade ice cream, or a big pasta sauce for the whole family (rather than just a single serving of smoothie). In this case, you’d definitely want a blender that could handle at least 30 fl oz.
Of course, there are many factors that affect the size of the container that you need, including the type of food that you are blending, and the volume of liquid that you are adding to the blender.
Typically, we reckon that a standard blender from either of the Magic Bullet or NutriBullet ranges will be sufficient for making food for one or two individuals at any one time – but if you are needing a larger device for a larger set of people, we suggest that you invest in the slightly more pricey NutriBullet RX, which has a whopping 45 fl oz pitcher.
5. Transportability
One of the big factors when picking a blender is its portability, and the ease with which you can move it around. If you plan on taking your blender to work, or moving it to different locations within your home, then you’ll want something that is easy to carry around.
The NutriBullet is designed to fit into a cupboard, and is therefore much easier to transport than a traditional blender. However, it isn’t necessarily the most portable option available.
The Magic Bullet has got an excellent weight-to-size ratio, meaning that it is light enough to move around without too much hassle. This makes it ideal for those who have limited space, or simply prefer to keep their kitchen tidy.
Both blenders have travel cups with sealable lids and handles, so you can take your drinks on the go with you securely.
6. Ease Of Cleanup
If you are looking for a high quality blender, you will want to make sure that it is easy to clean. The best way to do this is by using a dishwasher, rather than washing it manually. Not only does this save you time, but it also means that you won’t have to worry about getting your hands dirty.
As mentioned earlier, both blenders feature removable parts that you can just stick in the dishwasher, so they are very easy to clean. You should always use warm water and soap, and ensure that you rinse well after each cleaning cycle.
When it comes to removing stubborn stains from your machine, try rubbing some baking soda onto the surface first. This helps loosen the dirt and staining, before rinsing away afterwards.
You can also use a soft toothbrush to gently scrub the inside of the lid, as well as the blades. Once you’ve finished cleaning, dry off thoroughly with a towel.
NutriBullet Vs. Magic Bullet – Which One Is Right For You?

If you’re looking for a product that will help you get all the nutrients you need every day, then the NutriBlend is definitely worth checking out. It provides a wide variety of vitamins and minerals, including vitamin D3, calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, zinc, and omega 3 fatty acids.
The NutriBullet uses a unique blade system that helps it chop ingredients into smaller pieces than traditional blenders. This means that you’ll be able to consume finer smoothies – which is great if your kid (or you!) are fussy about finding lumps in your smoothies.
If you’re looking for a high-powered blender, however, then the Magic Bullet is probably the best choice. Its powerful motor and large capacity mean that you won’t have to worry about running out of liquid very often. Plus, it’s super easy to clean.
While the NutriBullet is ideal for people who like to eat healthily (and have a precedent for making smoothies, juices, and plant based milk), the Magic Bullet is perfect for those who need more nutrients in their diet, without being confused by excessive options and functions (such as your teenage college student – who is struggling to fit enough fruit and veg into their diet!).
Overall, we think that the NutriBullet would be a good choice for most people. It’s got everything you’d expect from a high-quality blender, plus some extras that make it stand out from competitors.
However, if you want a device that will offer you more flexibility, the Magic Bullet is your best bet. Not only does it come with a larger capacity, but it also includes a wider range of accessories.
That said, both products are excellent choices for anyone looking for a quality blender at a reasonable price.

A Look At A Few Specific Models
There are a few different models of both blenders that you could purchase – here is our take on all the most predominant models that are currently on the market.
The Mini Magic Bullet
This model is perfect for anyone who wants a small, compact blender that fits easily into a drawer, or even under a cabinet. It’s great for making smaller quantities of smoothies, soups, sauces, etc., and is suitable for children.
It features a 200 watt motor, a small pitcher, and weighs a pretty light 1.16 kilograms. Furthermore, it comes with a cross blade, a grinding blade, and is part of a seven-piece set.
This means that it is a really ideal little blender for a quick smoothie or juice in the morning, but might struggle to perform more heavy-duty functions.
Overall, this model does have a mini motor, so that it can be its compact size, and hence is only low power. This means that it is only really suitable to make fresh smoothies.
The Original Magic Bullet

This is a classic blender from the company, and has been on the market for years – so it has been tried and tested by generations of consumers.
It has a 250 watt motor, which makes it much more powerful than the Mini Magic Bullet. The original Magic Bullet also has a larger pitcher, and is slightly heavier at 2.13 kilograms.
Despite being older than the Mini Magic Bullet, it still remains one of the best blenders available today. It features an impressive 800 ml capacity, and is very easy to use. It also has a large mixing bowl, which allows you to mix ingredients together before blending them.
This means that it is useful for both soft ingredients (like fruit for fruit smoothies), and tougher ingredients (so you can use your blender to grind up coffee).
Overall, though, it is not the most heavy-duty blender we will discuss, so if you are looking for something a bit more hardy, then keep on reading.
The NutriBullet Personal Blender
This is another personal favorite of ours, and has a powerful 600 watt motor. This is the smallest of all the NutriBullet blenders, but despite its small size, it packs a powerful punch, and offers more than twice the power of a Magic Bullet.
So, this means that it has a greater motor speed and faster cutting power. It excels at even though jobs, such as crushing ice. This does mean that it has a larger blender base than its Magic Bullet companions, and may look a little clunky on your countertop.
Overall, this is a great blender for those who want a powerful machine that they can use for everything. It is also cheaper to buy than some of the other blenders we’ve mentioned, and is therefore a good option for those who are just starting out.
However, it is not without its drawbacks. For example, it does not come with a pitcher, and is quite heavy at 3.17 kilograms.
The NutriBullet Pro & The NutriBullet Pro Exclusive
These two models are essentially identical, except for the fact that the NutriBullet Pro has a wider range of attachments, including a grinder attachment.
They both feature a 900 watt motor, and weigh around 4.5 kilograms. Both are great options for those who want a versatile blender, and don’t mind paying a little extra for their convenience.
Compared with the standard NutriBullet models, the Pro model comes with a few extras, like a cleaning brush, a whisk, and a juicing attachment. These extras add a lot of value to the overall package, and make it worth considering over the standard version.
The only difference that we can identify between the two blenders is that the Exclusive model has a matte black finish.
Overall, both of these blenders have the ability to make single serve smoothies from the toughest of the ingredients, and do plenty of food processing functions too.
#1 The NutriBullet RX Blender
This is probably our favorite of all the NutriBullet/Magic Bullet blenders and is the latest addition to the NutriBullet line. It is designed to be a high performance blender, and includes many features that allow you to get the job done quickly and easily. It is also extremely quiet compared to other models, making it ideal for people who live in apartments or dorm rooms.
Furthermore, it is one of the most powerful personal blenders on the market, with 1700 watts of power behind it.
It has been made to try and bridge the gap between a small personal blender, and a larger, countertop style model, so you have a range of different uses for it, and can make tons of delicious dishes too,
#2 The NutriBullet Pro 1000 & The NutriBullet Select Models
These are the largest blenders in the whole of the NutriBullet line of products. They include a 1000 watt motor, which is capable of producing enough power to cut through any kind of fruit or vegetable.
They also include a wide variety of useful accessories, making them perfect for anyone looking for a powerful blender.
Both models include a large 800 ml capacity jug, which will hold up to 20 ounces of liquid. They are also very easy to clean, and have a long list of useful accessories included.
They are available in either white or silver finishes, and are priced according to their power, and number of attachments. However – they are both still single serve blenders – so are ideal for one individual, or a couple (but wouldn’t be the event for a big family!).
Both of these blenders are fairly similar, but there are a few differences between them. For example, the NutriBullet Select model is slightly more expensive than the NutriBullet 1000, but it offers better functionality, as well as being quieter.
It also comes with a whisk attachment, whereas the 1000 does not. This makes the NutriBullet a good option if you’re looking for something that’s going to last longer, and perform better than your average personal blender.
Final Thoughts
In conclusion, we would typically recommend the NutriBullet range of products, as there is more variety of options, increased versatility, and they tend to be more powerful – but, as with all purchases, it boils down to what you need from your product.
The Magic Bullet also has some key advantages, such as its affordability, and its compact size, making it great for the casual smoothie fan.
